Media Coverage of Black Nonprofit Leaders
Join us for an important panel discussion addressing how Black nonprofit leaders are portrayed by local media and how this portrayal shapes public perception. The panel will be moderated by David Brown, Associate Dean and Professor at Temple University. Panelists include Irv Randolph (The Philadelphia Tribune), Gabe Escobar (The Philadelphia Inquirer), Jos Duncan Ase’ (Love Now Media), and Eric Marsh (WHYY News).
We’ll explore the critical role of building strong relationships between nonprofits and media outlets to ensure accurate storytelling, highlight successes, share lessons learned, and emphasize the ongoing need for collaboration. Together, we will aim to foster a more inclusive and impactful narrative around the work and leadership of Black nonprofits in our communities.
