Being the “First”
We are kicking off the first BNCEP CEO Roundtable Discussion. The guest CEOs leading the discussion are Loree Jones, CEO of Philabundance and Marcus Allen, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence.
The topic of the discussion is “Being the First”. Both Marcus and Loree are the first Black CEOs in the history of their respective organizations. Among the topics Loree and Marcus will discuss are dealing with a majority led board; managing change, supervising senior leadership teams who have never reported to a Black CEO; being the new public face of the organization; the usefulness of “kitchen cabinets”, maintaining work-life balance, and managing stress associated with leading and fundraising.
