ORA Academy | Board Governance Series
ORA Academy | Board Governance Series
Strong governance is built through both relational alignment and structural clarity. This ORA series is designed to support nonprofit leaders in strengthening the partnership between Executive Directors/CEOs and Board Chairs while building the systems and practices needed for effective governance.
Board–Executive Partnership in Practice (Two-Part Series)
Facilitated by Tonya Ladipo, LCSW, Founder of The Ladipo Group
May 6 & May 13 | 9:30–11:30 AM | Hybrid
This convening is an invitation for Executive Directors and Board Chairs to participate in a facilitated conversation about what is actually needed to strengthen the partnership that the organization relies on.
Together, we will explore communication, governance expectations, and the unspoken pressures that can quietly erode even well-meaning leadership teams. Executive Directors and Board Chairs will leave with shared language and a practical process for navigating tension before it becomes a problem—building a stronger foundation for leading the organization together.
Led by renowned leader and clinician Tonya Ladipo, this session brings a unique lens on leadership, relationships, and organizational dynamics—grounded in both practice and lived experience.
Note: These sessions are designed as a two-part experience and should be attended as a full series.
- Space is limited to ensure a high-quality, interactive experience
- Priority is given to Executive Director/CEO and Board Chair pairs
- Participants are encouraged to attend with their board or executive counterpart when possible
This Organizational Resilience Academy (ORA) is presented by Center for Leadership Equity at United Way Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.
